For referrers

Catharine seeks to work collaboratively with all referrers. She has experience in both public and private practice contexts and recognises the importance of open dialogue with referrers, with the aim of encouraging people to feel supported by a number of professionals in their lives, while balancing the preferences of each individual client. Catharine uses evidence-based treatment approaches, although how these approaches look may vary significantly, given the importance of therapy that is co-constructed between the clinician and the person seeking help.

Supervision services

Catharine is an accredited supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. At In Dialogue, she provides supervision to mental health professionals working in both the public and private sectors. This work fits neatly with supervision work in her other work roles, including supervising child and adolescent psychiatry trainees within the RANZCP Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Course, and postgraduate clinical psychology students at the University of Melbourne Psychology Clinic.

Supervision with Catharine has an emphasis on the importance of the supervisory relationship, on attention to context, on experiential processing, and on learning in the vitally interpersonal context of supervision.
